Velvety, fresh, and characterful. This elegant, medium-bodied wine dances with notes of red plum, raspberry, capsicum and sage. Bright acidity and firm tannins lead to a fresh finish with notes of bright red fruit lingering.Try with grass fed meatballs in tomato sauce, aged cheeses, or stuffed bell peppers.
Organic grapes were hand harvested from Esther Vineyard (Kaleden, BC) in late October. Soils rich with silt and glacial rock provide an exceptional site for growing serious Cabernet Franc. 2018 was a mild growing season in the Okanagan Valley, yielding red wines of balance and freshness.
The wine fermented in a 10,000L foudre. It was then racked into oak barrels where it rested for 25 months to allow this highly structured wine to mellow and harmonize. 988 cases were produced.
