The Fall Wine Care Pack features six wines specially chosen for cooler weather, a Summerhill branded high quality "Sommelier Knife" corkscrew and a link to Summerhill's "Eclectic Good Vibes" Spotify playlist.
The included wines are:
Keter - Served to world leaders by Justin Trudeau the last time Canada hosted the G7 conference, Keter is a crowning blend of varieties across multiple vintages. Full-bodied with fresh plum and blackberry on the nose, the palate is silky and delicate with a long finish. A great wine for any dinner, particularly suited to roasted meats.
2019 Organic Cabernet Sauvignon - A classic wine in a New World style. Originally made popular grown in the gravel of Bordeaux, our vines are planted in the sandy soil of Osoyoos, Canada's fully arid desert region. Big, bold and dry with notes of cassis, black fruit and sage. Perfect pairing for grilled meats or any rich, intense winter dish.
Cipes Blanc de Blanc 2012 - A dazzling, complex sparkling wine with notes of lemon, key lime, brioche, hazelnut and lime pith. Delicate creamy mousse, medium body, refreshing acidity and a long, lingering finish make this a pure and vibrant expression of Okanagan terroir.
MV Reserve Barrel Red Wine - Select reserve barrels from the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 vintages were carefully chosen and masterfully blended to express the best of warm and cool years in the Okanagan Valley. Elegant, medium-bodied, and bursting with notes of red plum, black cherry, cedar and liquorice. Soft and bold on the palate with enticing flavours of ripe cherry, fig, mocha and star anise. Firm, round tannins and refreshing acidity lead to a lengthy finish.
2020 Organic Merlot - Fresh and stylish! Dominant notes of red plum, raspberry, licorice and sage with a hint of strawberry.
2021 Ehrenfelser - Summerhill founder Stephen Cipes calls Ehrenfelser "the white wine for red wine drinkers." This profoundly aromatic drop delivers an explosion of flavour. With one sip you will almost be able to see ripe fresh apricots, gooseberries, and guavas dancing behind your closed eyelids. (The wine is so beautiful closing your eyes to savour the experience may be a reflexive response.) There is also a lovely, slightly drying waxiness on the finish that brings elegance and tension to the palate. Many people have told us over the years that this was the bottle that made them fall in love with wine, giving them their first "a-ha" moment. The good news is that even as their palates have developed, this wine always offers them something special to come back for.
