Tasting Notes
This complex icewine offers pronounced notes of dried strawberry, rhubarb, ripe cherries, blackberry, and marmalade with refreshing acidity and long-lasting finish. The high alcohol balances the natural sweetness. Truly exceptional.
Vineyard Notes
Harvested and pressed on November 26th, 2015 at -9°C with 36% grape sugars at pressing. Primarily grown at the Heckmann Family Vineyard in pristine Summerland, Okanagan Valley.
Winemaker Notes
Grapes were pressed frozen to yield small amounts of rich, sweet juice. The wine fermented slowly and stopped naturally with a high degree of residual sweetness.

Serve chilled with a platter of fruit and chocolate, or aged blue cheeses.

I have had the Summer Pyramid Winery's "Peace" Pinot Noir Icewine 2002 and it was a memory to never forget... I love the color of the wine almost like maple syrup but in a very fancy bottle.

I first tasted the Pinot Noir ice wine in the early 2000 on a visit to the winery and it stuck with me. I finally broke down and bought myself a bottle of it this year and it was as great as I remember it being! Not overly sweet easy to drink and kept well in the fridge for the week it took us to finish to bottle. I may just treat myself to this much more often.
