Grown by Summerhill's neighbours, the Eidse Brothers, and aged 60 months in oak barrels, time is the secret to the wine’s beauty. As alcohol and water evaporate, and primary fruit turns to tertiary, earthy flavours, the wine becomes smooth and loses all its edges. The result is something akin to Burgundian Pinot Noir, but with Zweigelt’s blueberry character rather than the classic Pinot Noir strawberry notes.

This wine has aged gracefully and showcases a subdued fruitiness combined with smooth tannins. It is a little light when paired with a ribeye steak but should be ideal with pork ribs.
