Vineyard Notes
2023 was a warmer growing season in the Okanagan Valley in terms of temperatures. Grapes were harvested from our certified Biodynamic Summerhill Vineyard in Kelowna, BC.
Winemaker Notes
81% Biodynamic certified Zweigelt, 19% Biodynamic certified Pinot Meunier. The small amount of grapes we had were crushed by foot. The Pinot Meunier was left on the skins for 2 days and the Zweigelt for 1 day, then pressed and naturally fermented separately based on Biodynamic principles with ambient farm yeasts in temperature controlled stainless steel. The two wines were blended together after 1 month of fermentation and left to harmoniously combine for 6 months in tank before bottling.
