Tasting Notes:

Velvety, fresh and characterful. This classic Cabernet Franc gives ripe, zesty notes of black plum, capsicum, red raspberry with a hint of crushed gravel minerality. Amidst the intensely concentrated fruit flavours, savoury notes of graphite and sage intrigue the palate. Pillowy and soft on the palate, while bright acidity and ripe tannins lead to a rounded finish with notes of tart red fruit lingering.

Vineyard Notes:

Organic grapes were hand harvested from Esther Vineyard (Kaleden, BC) and Sekhon Vineyard (Osoyoos, BC). South Okanagan soils rich with silt and glacial rock provide an exceptional site for Cabernet Franc. 2020 was a moderately cool growing season, yielding red wines of balance and freshness.

Winemaker Notes:

The wine fermented in a 10,000L oak foudre. It was then racked into neutral oak barriques where it rested for 17 months before bottling.
