High Praise for Summerhill at the BC Wine Awards

We're halfway through the Fall Wine Festival, and between enjoying freshly shucked oysters and wine paired dinners (all available here at the Sunset Organic Bistro), I can finally share the great news from the opening night of the wine festival.

The oldest and largest wine competition in the province, The BC Wine Awards, were held Thursday night at the Laurel Packing house, with countless wineries in attendance, all of which were excited to see how their creations held up against the judges palates. After 4 days of tasting at the Okanagan College Sensory Lab, the 10-strong panel of wine-professionals were finally ready to share their verdict on BC's best wines.....

And I am pleased to announce that Summerhill did extremely well, with 4 of our wines being awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals!

GOLD

Cipes Brut, winning another Gold medal, ensuring it's title as Canada's most awarded wine

2014 Dry Organic Riesling. This Summerhill classic is only available online, and through select private liquor stores in the province.

SILVER

2014 Ehrenfelser (currently unreleased). We are merely weeks away from rolling into the new vintage of the Summerhill classic. Swing by the tasting room in the run up to Christmas to come try it for yourselves.

BRONZE

Previous winner of Top 10 in the World at the Effervescents du Monde 2013, the Cipes Rose continues to be a hit. This delectable bubble will go perfectly with your thanksgiving plans. Available at Summerhill, and at discerning retailers across the province.

Summerhill is having, once again, a great year for grapes, and for wine awards. We'd like to take this moment to give thanks to our partner in this, Mother Nature, and to invite you to come to Summerhill yourselves, and "Celebrate Nature's Perfection".
